The RHC Story


During my career in the corporate world, I decided I wanted a change, and I was put forward to train and qualify to become a project manager- which I fully embraced! Working hard to gain my PRINCE II qualification in Project Management 


This venture soon blossomed into a tremendous success, earning accolades on popular handmade selling platforms, such as Ebay and Etsy. Inspired by my newfound passion for marketing, I set out on a new journey in 2016, launching an event planning business. Specialising in the wedding industry, I collaborated with many wedding venues to organise wedding fairs and shows, This business quickly grew, earning my a feature in the local paper! The jewellery and event planning businesses not only grew but also unveiled my love for marketing. I became adept at using marketing tools and social media platforms to enhance the visibility of my ventures, driving substantial growth.


It was at this time I also partnered with a fellow wedding business owner Gemma and we began teaching fellow wedding business owners how to leverage marketing to navigate these challenging times.

I taught my very first online Facebook ads masterclass to a group of 34 business owners! We also worked with clients on a 1:1 basis and started a membership.

It was from this endeavor, RH Consultancy was born!

Founded by me, Rachael Hover, RHC was born in early 2020, following a 22-year corporate career in the dynamic world of transport and logistics. Starting as a transport clerk in a local transport company in my home town of Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Over the years I worked in many roles with in the transport sector including as an assistant transport manager, data analyst and working up to team leader for a national transport company.


But my entrepreneurial spirit was calling, and in late 2014, I embarked on a side business adventure, crafting handmade jewellery and unique gifts. With no website to speak of, I began selling my creations on social media platforms, Etsy and local fairs and markets! . As my craftsmanship gained recognition, I decided it was time to build my very first website. I scoured YouTube for tutorials, learning web design from scratch.


Our shows were gaining traction and we were securing bigger venues and shows, and in 2018 we were nominated for a Wedding Industry Award.

I was collaborating with lots of different wedding business owners, taking part in styled photoshoots and even modeling in bridal fashion shows to help get my business names out there! (It was so much fun!) 


Then, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, bringing the wedding and events industry to a standstill and impacting weddings going ahead, a significant source of income for both businesses. I needed to pivot, and so I created an online business selling direct to door step gifts that people could send to loved ones that were isolating - this also became a success! 


To solidify my expertise, I became fully qualified as a CDMP Digital marketing consultant and Meta Digital Marketing Associate.


Over the years, RHC evolved and expanded its horizons. I began working not only with independent businesses but also corporate clients, providing valuable insights into paid advertising and marketing strategies.

In 2022, I reached a pivotal moment and welcomed my first team member, Rebecca, as my marketing assistant. Her expertise in branding and graphic design allowed us to offer additional services.


As we continued to grow, early 2023 marked another milestone as we welcomed an admin assistant to the team! . She takes charge of the administrative side of the business, ensuring everything runs smoothly (and keeping me in check!)

Entrepreneurship has always ran deep in my veins. Following in the footsteps of my dad, who started his own successful sheet metal business at just 19, I was determined to build my own legacy.


My mission has always centered around empowering people to start and nurture their businesses, granting them the freedom to lead the lives they desire. And what's at the heart of a successful business? Customers. To attract customers, you must be visible, and that's where marketing comes into play. I'm here to help businesses thrive through effective marketing strategies.


When I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey, I needed straightforward marketing guidance, but it was often hard to come by. Today, I strive to provide no-nonsense, practical marketing advice to businesses, serving as a stepping stone to help them grow and scale.


Our business thrives on referrals and the strong relationships we build with our clients. We treat their businesses as our own, consistently going above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and achieve outstanding results.
